Made the move from Lexington, KY to Boston in August! I'm extremely excited to be here and check out the design scene in a different part of the country.

The new restaurant has a nice power strip full of outlets below the window bar table that nobody knows about. We designed a little window sticker to give customers a heads-up. Fun little solution for a fun little problem.

Finally got an illustrated screen print out there. Big thanks to the guys at Mama’s Sauce in Orlando for talking me through the final steps and living up to their reputation for great work. Went all out at 18x24" with 5 colors including a metallic on this one. Available for purchase!

We had a great story to tell with this one. Having a claim to something as world-changing as being the first restaurant to put bacon on a cheeseburger is worth crowing about. Check out the full case study.

While working for a Lexington ad agency, Cornett, I’ve had the opportunity to be involved in the re-brand of A&W Restaurants. After incorporating and buying the name back from Yum!, franchisees moved their corporate offices to Lexington and began re-envisioning their store. With the luxury of 95 years of history, we began to help shape a new A&W.

VisitLex hoped to attract guests by promoting the proximity of their storefront to the majority of Lexington’s downtown hotels and convention centers. Executed on a roll-up banner stand to place in lobbies and hallways as needed.

Valentine’s Day needs more skulls.

In 2011, the USEF decided to redesign their members’ magazine for digital distribution—just like the entire publishing industry. With a shift in editorial content from near-newsletter level to more of a lifestyle reporting slant, Equestrian began publishing through the Apple App Store in 2012.

Ida came to me for a basic identity package to help in her self-promotion and job hunting efforts. We eventually arrived at a solution that began to establish her personal style and aesthetic. 

The first of many pro-bono wedding invitation suites. I say, “pro-bono” but they always count as wedding presents. At least I avoid going to a Bed Bath & Beyond this way.

The United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) needed to develop an icon system to visually signify their 8 high-performance disciplines. The system has since been expanded to include other disciplines as well as integrated into various marks and badges for individual championships and events.

Think of the NAJYRC as an all North America high school championships of horse sports. Kids from the U.S., Canada, and Mexico compete in an ever-expanding list of competitions. The goal was to legitimize the program and develop a visual identity to be used in communications with prospective athletes and spectators.

The Young Horse Championship was a brand new event requiring a mark that would both legitimize the new program and convey that the competition would consist of horses of a younger age group than the currently established breeding competitions.
